and members of the Richland community are invited and encouraged to attend! Watch the Richland School Bulletin for information concerning fundraising events, volunteer opportunities, and scheduling changes due to holidays. Together, we all work to enhance the education of our children. Richland Learning Garden-Year Round Parents are needed to work in our wonderful garden with the children, planting, maintaining and harvesting fruits and vegetables as well as mowing, trimming and maintaining the garden. Back To School Picnic (Sept. 25, 12pm-3pm) A great way to see familiar faces and welcome new parents and families to the school. We need someone to help plan the menu and activities for the school picnic. Math-a-Thon and Spell-a-Thon Support Learning and Fundraising! International Festival and Silent Auction May 27, 2011This event is one of our biggest fundraisers. It’s an opportunity to come and bid on lots of fun items (spa packages, sports packages and family fun places to just name a few). It’s an event that takes a lot of pre-planning, so we hope you can help:
Staff Appreciation Week (May 3-6), Staff Lunch (May 5) A very important week for the parents to thank the teachers and staff for all their hard work throughout the year. We host a lunch for the school staff. 1. Coordinate gifts 2. Coordinate lunch menu Spring Open House (April 12) A time for your child to show you what they’ve been working on all year. Similar to the Open House held in the Fall, we need parents to help with the food sale. Scholastic Book Fair (April 11-15) Scheduled around the Open House, the Scholastic Bookfair is an event that all the students look forward to. Who doesn’t like a new book?
